My husband likes Italian food...of course...he's French from New Hampshire....go figure. I've had great Italian in NYC, and I suppose that he's used to that East Coast Yummy Italian food, but I am having a tough time finding a regular Italian dive restaurant with decent food. I like the hoitie toitie Italian restaurants near the sports arenas in the city, but where can we go on the Eastside? Don't tell me to cook, I would burn the water before I could get the spaghetti noodles in the pan. Oh, and it can't be expensive...or I'll never get my husband to go.
