What a disaster! I bought a marvelous can of piquillo peppers to make a lovely tapas dish just last week at Librairie Espagnole, and I went back this week, some jerk of a restauranteur has bought every last can!!!! And they won't get any for a month.

So then I headed up to Jean-Talon market, and Depense doesn't have them. Olives et Epices has them, but only if you buy their "Tapas kit" - ARGGGGRGGG - overpriced, overpackaged product for people who don't know how to cook but want to seem cool - Who needs a kit to make tapas, for crying out loud???? Those who say JTM isn't being gentrified need to step for a moment into this pompous store.... How hard is it to offer jarred peppers as a stand alone product????

As you can see. I'm sort of losing it.

Anyhow, anyone seen any of these babies around? I prefer the canned products, whole peppers, but at this point I'm even thinking of caving in and buying the stupid tapas kit, even thought the peppers are jarred and cut into shreds.... (No- don't give in...)
