ISO hardwood charcoal and wood chips

Fran D | Jun 5, 200403:38 PM

I just entered the world of grilling! Got the Weber I need to move beyond the briquettes.

I figure you chowhounds would know where to get a good supply of real hardwood charcoal and different types of wood chips. I checked the posts from last year, but I was hoping for some places in the Near North burbs.

I live in Skokie, so I'd happily poke my head into Evanston, Wilmette, Glenview, Morton Grove, Lincolnwood, or even Far North Chicago to stock up. If I must schlep to Berger's I will do so though.
