my little guy is off to full-day JK in september and i'm starting to look around for bento-style lunch containers. it seems there are quite a bit of options available online but i'd really like to see this stuff in person.
in an ideal world, i'm looking for containers with the following:
- 4 compartments; i'll settle for 3
- hinged lids ... but i'll settle for just one lid that covers the entire container (i don't want a big box with a ton of little boxes/lids inside - too many moving pieces that will ultimately get lost)
- relatively easy to manage/open by an almost-4-year-old
- fits in an insulated lunch bag
- BPA free etc.
i didn't think it would be so tricky to find this stuff ... so far, i've been to loblaws, walmart, canadian tire, pottery barn, ikea, bed bath and beyond, home outfitters.
the only option i've found that seems to meet my criteria is the spencer bento box at pottery barn. if i can't find anything in store, then i'm considering the easylunchboxes on amazon.
i'd love to hear what you've bought and where you bought from! fwiw, i'm in etobicoke.
thanks SO much for your help.
