What a year of great eats and chowhounding!

To celebrate our community of devoted eaters, we’ve squeezed in another chowdown in the post-Chanukah/Christmas to pre-New Year’s lull. Please join your fellow ‘hounds and ex-SFer Limster for a 12-course feast of Huaiyang specialties at Su Hong Eatery in Palo Alto.

The Limster has flown in from Boston and helped select the following menu:

Large appetizer plate (smoked fish, drunken chicken, jellyfish, duck, jellied ham, vegetarian goose, kao fu)
Soup in a claypot
Crab/pork little steamed dumplings (xiao long bao)*
Braised pork trotter in brown sauce with Shanghai cabbage*
Pea shoots and prawns
Sweet and sour squirrel fish
Shrimp roe with sea cucumber
Crispy duck
Yangzhou style sliced bean sheets
House style claypot rice with mustard greens and salted pork*
Fried pastries with sweet red bean paste
Sticky rice dumplings in osmanthus flower flavored wine broth

Cost will be approximately $25 per person. Corkage is $5 per bottle – please feel free to bring a bottle of wine to share.
