I just picked up a book by a woman named Fran McCullough, The Good Fat Cookbook. It has a forward by Dr Barry Sears, who I know has at least some understanding of science. (Tho, curiously, only 1 blurb on the back, from Michael Eades, MD).
She claims that among other things, cocunut oil is good, as are eggs, bacon, and milk. On the bad side she says veg. oil and canola oil are bad.
Anyone know anything about this book, or does anyone have any *solid* knowledge about coconut oil (e.g. from empirical research)?
