International Food Store in Orlando

Well, I've been living here 6 years now, but I just found a hidden gem not 10 minutes from my house. Go figure.

For those out there looking for a food store that carries all kinds of items from other countries, there is this strange store in the warehouse district on LB McLeod near John Young Parkway called the International Food Club. It is basically a warehouse with items available both in bulk/wholesale and individually, plus they have a little hot & cold food serving area called IFC's Cafe and Deli serving Middle Eastern specialties.

The inventory leans heavily towards British, Middle Eastern and Indian items, but they have stuff from South Africa to Asia to other European options. The sell dry goods and spices packaged products. Some things are ready-to-eat, others are in a cold case (all kinds of British meat pies, lebneh yogurt etc) and of course individual ingredients for your own cooking.

I want to emphasize that the selection is way bigger than you would get on the international food aisle of your grocery store, World market, or even from a small international market. I believe it is owned by an Iranian and the couple working there (who apparently do much of the ordering) were Lebanese. He emphasized that anything we might want he could order for us.

Anyway, it is great to find an option like this in Orlando as we tend to be short on international shopping options, please make a visit to check it out for yourself - it is a unique experience. It is located at 4300 LB McLeod Road about 1/2 mile west of the I-4 and John Young Parkway intersection. Phone number is 321-281-4300, the food store is open 7 days and the cafe M-Sat
