New Indian in Lower Makefield

dkbk | Dec 31, 2007 08:08 AM

We just tried the lunch buffet at the new Indian restaurant in Lower Makefield (near Giant and McCaffrey's). There is no sign yet, so lunch was not busy, 1 other diner when we went in. The waiter (owner?) said they had been busy on the weekend and business was steady so far. They have not remodeled completely yet, so the interior was half Indian, half Italian (from Portobello's the previous place). To the buffet...everything was very good, comparable to Palace of Asia in Lawrence. The Tandoori chicken was the best we've had, very moist. There was not a large variety of dishes, three veggie, two chicken and two appetizers, a couple of desserts, but what they had was fresh and seasoned well. They refreshed everything even with 2 tables. They brought both Naan and Garlic Naan both of which were excellent. The service was pleasant. We will absolutely try the place for dinner soon, and will be back for the buffet.
