had incredibly tasty Pumpkin cognac cheesecake at
CAFE MOZART ( 154 w 70th st ).
I have been this place many times for very good
cakes & coffee. but I've never noticed about this Pumpkin cognac cheesecake before.actually there is no
name tag, and it's placed in the back of the shelf,
it's pretty hard to see.
I didn't know what it was - looked beautiful though -
, so I asked the guy at the counter, and he said
" pumpkin cognac cheesecake ". I immediately got it.
this is the one of the best cheesecake variety in NY.
the texture is so silky, it's almost like a pumpkin
puree.the cheese is very subtly mixed, so it's much more like a pumpkin mousse than a pumpkin cheesecake.
very very subtle cognac flavor is perfectly balanced,
not over powerd. there is a very thin layer of fresh
whipped cream, this makes really satnd out all of the
flavor & texture.
this type of cake should be eaten asap. I don't recommend it for to go, or if the cake stays too long
in refrig, the quality is going down really quick.
I hope you'll get the fresh one.
