Just returned from Columbia County house and had an early dinner at Red Hook Inn. The inn has reopened its dining room(s), and the dinner was very good. We were three. We each had drinks in the bar, very cozy with faux fire (gas) in the authentic fireplace and dinner with a glass of wine each. Total came to about $35(with tip) each including a shared appetizer of porcini mushroom ravioli and sun-dried tomato, nicely dressed salad, beautifully presented and well-prepared herb-stuffed pork chop, osso bucco, and red trout entrees, and coffee. Everyone was more than satisfied. I hope this place gets the clientele it needs to keep it going.
Pongo in Tivoli has undergone another transformation. I can't remember its new name. It seemed to be functioning last weekend.
