I'm visiting Houston after a 10-year absence with a friend who wants to eat someplace on the ship channel, and I have semi-fond memories of Shanghai Red's. The whole wall facing the turning basin was glass, and, although the food was unremarkable, the view when there was a big ship being turned around was spectacular. I'm aware that there used to be at least one other restaurant near Shanghai Red's, but I never went there and don't know the name. I can't find any evidence that Shanghai Red's still exists. Can anyone help me out? Does the restaurant still exist, only under a different name? Thanks in advance for any clues.
