House of Dumplings- It's in the Appian Plaza -109 Appian Way off Mission Blvd, Union City. Small parking lot. It's a tiny place only w/ 8 tables: 2-4 top & 6 2-top tables (can be added together). Open for 2 months waitress said.
One waitress only when we went, she speaks English, Cantonese, & Mandarin - she's nice & cheerful.
If you like dumplings they have tons of variety.
We ordered lots:
Seaweed salad $4.95 - very chewy, B. liked it. I thought it was just ok.
Pig ears $5.95 - very chewy, B. liked it, just ok for me.
Fresh cilantro w/ bean noodle $5.95 - another chewy dish, just ok for me. B liked it.
Shanghai soup dumpling (6) aka xlb $4.95 - very chewy & tender pork inside. I liked it ok, not the best. Only black vinegar given on the side, no sliced ginger.
Multi-layer onion pancake $4.95 - bit greasy, but served hot & many layers, not much green onions. I liked it.
Potstickers (6) $5.95 - very tasty. Nicely browned. We liked it.
Hot sauce - Housemade, yummy. Very garlicky & salty - good w/ the food.
So many dishes to try, we will be back.
One unisex bathroom in the back. Credit cards taken. Recommended.
