I heard of a new hot pot restaurant opened in Milpitas, what better way to spend with friends over cook you own foods while feeling nice and toasty!
Not talking about the Zhao's Hot Pot in Milpitas! Checked out Zhao's...not sure if I should order a pearl milk tea, or sit down and order hot pot? (it is quite obvious in Zhao's past life, it was a Quickly)The concept is a copy of the original from mongolia China; in southern Cal, there are three locations part of a licensed aggreement, others are knock offs. Zhao's food does not come close to the original in terms of flavor of the broth, the grade and seletion of the cuts of lamb, beef, and or seafood selection; not to mention the small made in house seasame bread rolls. The restaurant is so closely packed with tables close to each other...would you consider enjoyable eating sitting 2 feet away from the bathroom? The hot and house style broths are simply thier own version of the original concoctions, (the orginal I understand has over 60 differ ingredients and gives the taste of herbal aroma and taste of hot and spice, but stomach friendly...and keeps you physically and mentally sound throught out the winter months)
about the other hot pot restaurant in milpitas...anyone know anything?
