Hosting a BBQ for NON-Chowhounds...

Funwithfood | Jun 19, 2006 11:32 AM

I will be hosting a BBQ for those who like to cook--that's easy--especially since everyone is bringing two dishes. (E-mail me if you are in SoCal if you want to come :)

My problem is, the next day I'm hosting (more like catering) a BBQ for a large group that has no interest in cooking. I want the food to be good, but I don't want to put a lot of time into it.

I'm thinking of a couple pork shoulders--Kalua Roast Pork (Will Owen's now-famous recipe) for pulled pork sandwiches. What other mains would you suggest?

Also, any excellent pre-made side dishes you have purchased at Costco or Sam's Club, etc.? Any dessert ideas--was thinking s'mores (kids will be there), but that might be difficult/messy. TIA for any ideas.
