My mom is coming to DC from Texas, and this is my first chance to treat her to a really great meal (I'm out of grad school and newly employed-- hurrah!). I'd love a place with fantastic food and great ambiance as well-- cozy and inviting. I've narrowed it down to the following places: Tabard Inn, Ceiba, Komi and Corduroy. I've been to Tabard Inn and think it has such an inviting atmosphere, and I think she'd be impressed by the scene at Ceiba. I haven't been to Komi or Corduroy and don't know much about the setting, though I've heard both have fantastic food. I'd love to get some advice from Chowhounds-- which would you pick? Thanks so much for your help!
