There was just a piece in the EB Express saying May Hong had closed because of family illness (the mom) and death (the dad), and the 20 year old daughter has just re-opened the place w/ the same chef, who cooks the best Vietnamese food in the East Bay (in my opinion!). A family business that both needs and deserves support. I'm heading there asap for their tamarind-dusted shrimp, which I dream about.....
