Honeys Kettle in Culver City

Tari | Sep 5, 200505:48 PM

So, the bf and I decided to try Honeys Kettle for the first time. We had seen so many good reviews of it here on Chowhound. We went up to place our order. I attempted to order the Porterhouse Combo, but they were out of fish. Ok, no I order the 2 piece chicken meal of 2 breasts...which comes with kettle fries, biscuit and pickles. The boyfriend orders his meal and a fresh squeezed lemonade and I, an ice tea. They are out of lemonade but the girl taking the orders asks if they are making more soon and the other employee says yes. We went and sat down and waited...waited...continued to wait some more. After about 25 min of waiting they call my name to pick up our meals and drinks. We didnt even get our drinks early. We get it back to the table. The food looks really good...but they messed up on my meal because I ordered 2 chicken breast and they gave me a breast and a wing. The bf goes up and gets that taken care of. We start eating while the bf still waits for his lemonade. I go up to the counter because of 1) they forgot to give me honey that I had asked for...and 2) the bf is thirsty and isnt fond of ice tea. I go up to the counter and am ignored by all...finally I get ticked off enough to ask for the honey I had ordered and to at least get some ice water for the bf since he is half done with his meal. It took about 40 min before the lemonade arrived. I understand that it is fresh lemonade but maybe they should start making more before running out....or at least just say it will be a while so that the customer has the option to choose something else.
Now, I would go back because the chicken was quite good. The food in general was good...but the service sucked royally.

Has anyone else had this kind of experience there?
