You can't go home again ...

Shanghailander | Dec 3, 201406:46 PM     38

So where do you go?

I am heading to Boston for the first time in forever. All my hangouts and restaurants from the late 1970s are gone - Casablanca, 33 Dunster Street, Grendel's, The Wursthaus, Ferdinand's and Iruna, in Harvard Square; Locke Ober, and a host of others in Boston.

I am meeting an old classmate from college. Looking for an upscale, yet quiet, place, where we can talk and reminisce about our youth, in either Harvard Square or downtown Boston or Back Bay.

No chains, loud or touristy places, please.
