Has anyone been to this burger joint just east of Downtown:
Mike's Sandwich Shop, 1717 S. Soto St., Los Angeles
. . "the most popular item is the signature hockey burger ($3.25). "Made from old pucks," reads the menu. In truth the burger consists of a thin grilled beef patty topped with melted cheese and paired with chilled iceberg lettuce, tomato slices, pickles and raw onions. All this is tucked into a soft, Kaiser roll. The coup de grace is the one-and-a-half all-beef franks, which have been split in half and cooked on the grill, and sit nicely charred atop the patty.
Sounds a bit like the Marty's combo which I'm a huge fan of. Just wondering if any 'hounds are familiar with this place. I'd never heard of it 'till today.
