We'll be doing a long trip in eastern Europe this summer, starting in Russia. I've been to both cities before but not for a few years and it sounds like much (to say the least) has changed. Since we're lucky enough to live in a city where the chow has spoiled us, we're not looking to have any "big" meals along the way. We're looking for those tiny, hidden, out of the way gems that only the most intrepid hounds would know about! Counter, sit down, whatever. Cheap is also very good.
I had a whole list of them when I studied abroad there, but I have a feeling there's lots of turnover there now (ie, no more scottish joint venture donut store).
