Heritage turkey in Cleveland

Stuart | Nov 6, 2004 11:50 PM

Where can I find a heritage turkey in the Cleveland area? I'm looking for any heritage breed. Fresh. I'm willing to drive up to one hour each way. If it can be shipped overnight to arrive fresh on the 24th that's also okay. I'm looking for a turkey in the 10-12 lb range.

I've made a few calls to farms on the LocalHarvest web site and also a few calls to producers I found on the American Pastured Poultry Producers web site. I have a few more calls to place before I'm completely out of options but it's definitely not looking good. Many farms with heritage turkeys are sold out.

I'm planning to stuff it with a duck so a suitably deboned turkey is definitely a plus, but it's not absolutely necessary.

Your help is very much appreciated. Thank you.
