My husband's birthday is just around the corner and he is not a cake person (I know, how can ANYONE dislike cake? It shocks me, too.), he has to have a birthday pie. We've got a cocoanut cream pie in the hopper, but I'd also like to make him some little hand pies. I made these delicious apricot hand pies from a Martha Stewart recipe a few years back and have, since, lost it and have had no luck finding it online.
Anyone have yummy hand pie or turnover recipes. You get lots of bonus points for the Martha recipe, but I'll still heap you w/ praise and adulation for anything hand pie, particularly in the berry department. I've got a great crust recipe, so you could just help me with the filling prep unless your crust is crucial to the final product.
Thanks! You're swell!
