Halumi sandwich at Athens Cafe

Minimo | Jan 23, 2004 03:35 PM

They are now open for business again after those renovations and I have been meaning to have the lauded halumi sandwich that I read about here a while ago.

I've been there twice before to get it but in both occasions I was a little disappointed. The first one they did it with pita bread that became very soggy and the second time, when I asked for a Tost sandwich (someone here said that's the name pressed sandwiches have in Greece) they gave me the halumi and tomato in between normal, half burnt toast.

So my question is how is it supposed to be? How should I order it?
