Markets & Stores 2

groceries/meat/seafood in williamsburg / greenpoint

I'm a longtime resident of this area, and am wondering if anyone has found a place to buy good beef or lamb, or seafood. I like pork as much as the next guy, but need some variety and have found the Polish butchers to be weak on beef. Tops grocery is mediocre and overpriced in every department; the seafood market on Manhattan Ave. near Nassua, and one off bedford in Williamsburg have not seemed fresh or good quality. The Key FOod on McGuinnes carries D'artagnan, but their refrigeration is so inconsistent that the meat can smell off if its not high turnover, like ground beef.

Help! Why can't we have a Gourmet Garage or something? Why are you ignoring this huge underserved market? (And Fresh Direct is not the answer.)
