We found a great little restaurant on the island of Panarea (off the coast of Sicily) called Da Pina. The appetizers included fresh mozzarella cooked in lemon leaves, stuffed calamari, the most incredible eggplant gnocchi, prawns in lemon leaves, open faced cannoli, etc. All the food was simply prepared, but probably the most enjoyable meal of our recent trip to Italy/France (which also included dinner at Les Ambassadeurs and lunch at Guy Savoy). Great atmosphere, music, food, and wine on a island paradise. Highly recommended.
