What a find. While at The Fox & Parrot, we noticed a reference to a wine & tapas bar. Our server/manager, Brian, explained that a husband and wife owned both. We decided to try the wine bar the following day. The husband (a different Brian), was there. So, here we are with another made from scratch menu, though with quite different entrees. And, obviously, a full selection of wines by the glass.
For wine we started with Cupcake Sauvignon, Blanc, followed by Complicated, and Verdejo. I then had a glass of red, but I can't find the name (perhaps a Spanish).
For food we ordered empanadas and lamb skewers. Both were excellent and filling. I preferred the empanadas, while MC preferred the lamb. Although we were full by this point, we ordered the chili shrimp. Brian (the owner) said that the dish could be as spicy as we wanted. Perfect.
As it was pouring down rain outside, there were not many customers in the middle of the afternoon. Great for us as we got to spend a lot of time talking with Brian. Before we finished, the other half of the partnership (Dana) arrived. So, we got to visit with her a bit.
I would return to this place in a heartbeat.
