Great barbecue on the way to Yosemite

Always hard to find good but not expensive food on the way to Yosemite or while in the park itself. Most hotels serve serviceable but not special food that is way too expensive (Ahwahnee cheeseburger around $19-20 dollars!). We were staying at the Tenaya Lodge so came up Hwy 41. We were told by another conference attendee to try out Todd's Barbecue at 40713 California HWY 41Oakhurst, CA 93644 (559) 642-4900 because not only were the meats good but the side dishes were excellent. We drove south on Hwy 41 back to Oakhurst, stood in a line that moved quickly to place our orders, then sat down and waited for the food to be delivered. Peanuts in the shell were at each table to snack on while waiting. The spare ribs were meaty and moist, the pulled pork tasty. We got the pulled pork plate special that had hush puppies that were a tad too hard but hey, they had hush puppies! The cole slaw was tangy and the beans served with the meats were nicely spiced and had good flavor. So I can safely say that this will be one of our stops when we take the southern approach to Yosemite. Much higher quality of food than the usual along the highways and much cheaper than in Yosemite itself.
