Well, I must pat myself on the back.
From listening to you Hounds, I decided that I needed to try, all natural, grass fed, stuff (anti-biotic, steroid, hormone, etc.) free cow.
It was excellent.
I don't know if it was just the beef or the whole meal. It just was one of the best steak dinners I've ever had. Here goes:
I had some cream left in the fridge from making whipped cream for Mums Day. So I made butter out of it. With which I made chive butter. A medallion went on top of my steak.
The beef came from a local farmers market where we also bought organic lettuce and cherry tomatoes. I made a nice salad out of that.
I had some potatoes so I made pouch potatoes (More chive butter with onion) and did them on the grill with the beef.
I also put my cast iron skillet on the grill with some mushrooms, more of my butter and soy sauce. Let that get all happy and had them on the side.
We have some nice red wine that goes great with steak and I figure I just saved myself over $100.
