I am leaving for a year in South America in a few days, and I just wanted to thank everyone on this board for all the great advice this past year. Although I think I used to eat out at some good places before this year, this board has introduced me to places that I will never forget.
Here's a short list of my favorites, I owe it all to you guys!
Taiwan Cafe: eggplant w/ basil, seafood hot pot, seaweed w/ garlic sauce, dumplings!
Tacos Lupita in Somerville: pork tacos and my favorite tamales
Wang's Fast Food (and Qingdao Garden for weekday lunch): the leek dumplings are my #1 favorite midnight snack from this past year, also wonton soup, whole fish, dumplings. thanks Amy for telling me about this place first..
King Fung Garden: The chowdinner was quite entertaining. And the duck was gooood.
Christina's Ice Cream in Inman Sq: The banana ice cream is great (although Toscanini's is better, when they actually have banana....)
Shabu-Zen: Lots of fun, very tasty, was great for my cold.
This board is great, I know when I come back to Boston in summer of 2003 there'll be lots more great places for me to try. Look for my posts on the Int'l board this coming year...
P.S. Just so you know, my last meal in United States will be dim sum in Flushing, Queens. Hey, it REALLY IS on the way to the airport....
