Good Chinese Eats in S.D. Thanks to Chowhound

A couple weeks ago I got back into town for a weekend of R 'n' R 'n' eating. I wanted to go to Spicy City for my first dinner, but they were packed, so I went to Shanghai City instead. I stressed to the hostess and waitperson that I was interested in real Chinese food and the wonderful waitperson recommended several Chinese specials which made a wonderful meal. The appetizer was a dish of finely diced dried tofu with (I think, the waitress didn't know the English) finely chopped sesame leaves. Wonderful. The main course was a perfectly prepared, large flounder filet, lightly breaded, covered in slivered scallions etc in a soy based sauce (all so succulent and tender), and I also had pea greens, which were very flavorful, if a bit oily. All good, interesting, and different. At Spicy City the next day for lunch, I had the whole spicy fish, which turned out to be a trout. The fish and sauce were outstanding, though the once-frozen peas and carrots that were in the sauce were a bit of a disappointment. Then on Sunday, I took KirkK's suggestion and had dim sum at Golden City. I am no expert at dim sum, but it was very enjoyable, and as KirkK indicated, the steamed items (in particular the steamed pork ribs in black bean sauce and wonderful little shrimp dumpling-type thingies (sorry to be so technical)) were outstanding. I also enjoyed the chicken feet, once I convinced the server that I indeed wanted them, and nothing was bad, though the bbq pork stuffed baked roll was not as tasty as I would have liked. Anyway, I just wanted to thank all the Sandy Eggo hounds out there whose reviews led me to these great restaurants. Kudos!
