/esterday's lunch at Gitlo's included Daikon Cake with XO sauce and Sweet Potato Puffs. The new standard method of preparation for the daikon cakes include pre-frying (before pan frying) the cubes of daikon so they are browned on all sides. This gives it a kind of home fry/ french fry type consistency. I liked it. If you l liked the previous method of preperation, you may want to specify that.
The Sweet Potato Puffs I had were different from the ones I had several weeks ago. Gitlo said that they are now using Japanesse sweet potatoes (lighter color) instead of Chinese sweet potatoes (a more yellow color). I liked the puffs with the Japanesse sweet potatoes much better. Give them another try if you have only had the other variety.
