I think I might have found the ginger cookie I was looking for several posts back...

Stopped by Half&Half coffee shop downtown, 9th and Oak, I think. It's a really nice little place--manages to feel very neighborhood-y for being in the middle of downtown. They serve Stumptown, have a small soup-salad-sandwich selection, and bake all their own pastries. The ginger cookie was excellent--thick and chewy and satisfyingly spicy. The homemade chocolate cream pie looked pretty excellent, too, with a gorgeously flaky crust.

It reminds me a lot of my regular coffee-and-cookies stop back home, especially since it's located right next to an adult book store (the old local was next to a sex shop--great fun to sit in the window and watch people slinking in and out!).
