German Food: Philly and the surrounding 'burbs

My DH has a huge place in his culinary heart for German food, and has not stopped whining about the demise of Ludwigs. German food is part of my culinary heritage, so I can appreciate the food, but it is not my top choice when I go out to eat. In deference to my DH, however, I'm searching for some alternatives to Ludwigs, which has almost iconic stature in his mind -- and of course now that it's gone, the iconicity (??) grows by leaps and bounds (like that fish he caught several years ago).

We live near Otto's in Horsham, having gone there for years with our parents. Any others? We also go to Illg's periodically -- they are an old-time German butcher shop in Warrington.
