Had a wholesome and reasonably priced dinner at Gennaro's the other night(amsterdam and 90's).
we were pleased to see that they've renovated into a larger space. The shelves of wine on the wall looked great, except that all bottles were standing upright!
As someone on the Int'l board was mentioning that this happened at one of the London restaurant, too, I wonder if anyone knows the reason for this upright wine storing method? Are plastic corks the reason? And how do we know which wine uses plastic corks?
(we didn't have any wine at Gennaro that night, by the way)
