I just went through the Derby Day gallery, and wow! I thought the descriptions of the dishes were missing until I scrolled down the screen and found them, languishing at the bottom.
Those pics are just Too huge, taking up too much real estate, while white space below the now-ubiquitous 'social media' links is where the descriptive text ought to be.
What's up with all this? I'm currently on my desktop, but am going to see how my iPad mini handles this; I'll drop a photo or two in here shortly.
ETA: now from my iPad mini, I see what my desktop shows as white space is really where the Advil ad (or whoever has the lease for today on for "this space for rent") goes. Okay, I get the need for cash; content can't be free. In any case, whether desktop or tablet, I've got to scroll to figure whether I even *want* to see the recipe. So maybe shrink the main photos in the Gallery so we can please *see* the description in the same view? Quality of the photo is what matters, after all, not how enormous it is.
First photo: as seen on iPad mini - complete with Advil advertisement.
Second photo: as seen on Desktop - lotsa white space.
