Galette des Rois

Peter Yee | Nov 17, 200102:06 AM

I know it's a bit early to be thinking of galette des rois, but does anyone know of either:

1) a bakery in the area that produces good galette des rois. Sure, I can wait until the 6th of January. The last time I had one was 1/6/00 in Paris.

2) a source for the porcelain figurines (feve) to place in a galette? The production of the galette seems easy enough (all right, I'm cheating and using store bought puff pastry...), but I don't know where to get the figurines. Some of the pastry shops in Paris also sold the figurines, but I haven't been able to track down a source on this side of the pond. Or a website that sells imported figurines for that matter.

Any pointers much appreciated.
