Had a wonderful meal at Fusion on 22 in Green Brook last night. This is the about the 5th time that I have eaten there this year. I do not understand why it is so empty all the time and how it is staying in business!
For appetizers we had "drums of heaven" and chili chicken dry - both were excellent! The drums of heaven have a unique test and texture - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a tangy and spicy soy/ginger/onion sauce. The chili chicken had tons of pungent green chils. My husband was disappointed that the black bean venison wasn't available. No matter though, because the spicy shrimp dish that he ordered was great. I don't recall the name of the dish, but it was jumbo shrimp in a velvety, coconut curry sauce. (One small complaint is that the shrimp were only partially peeled. With that wonderful sauce I would have expected fully peeled shrimp).. I had the beef siamese with cashews, ginger, and broccoli. The texture of the beef was perfect - slight crunch on oustide but moist tender beef on the inside. It was well spiced and not overly salty.
Every dish that I've ever eaten there has been flavorful and well prepared with high quality ingredients. I wish more people would eat there because I would like it to stay in business.
It is on Route 22 west in Green Brook, in a strip mall (the one with the Dunkin Donuts) and just across the highway from the shopping center with Perkins, Martys, Harmon.
