Despite protestations of food overload from some of the diners, our meal at Full Kee on Saturday night was a rousing success....
Even though the Hong Kong-style wonton soup (no noodles) may have been slightly less successful than usual, the rest of the meal was superlative.
The soft-shells were the best in recent in recent memory--sweet, meaty and beautifully fried. The clams in black bean sauce, the stir fried broccoli, the crispy fried shrimp and the pork and dried bean curd were all excellent. The one new dish--a casserole with chinese eggplant and shortribs--was a nice complement to the "regular" dishes.
Did I say that we all enjoyed the meal?
