what to do with frozen minced clams?

I haven't really been in the mood for chowder and these have been sitting in my freezer for a month in a large sour cream-sized container. Sorry for having no concept of weight, volume or measurement at all.
Also how to thaw? If I run under water, will the clam taste wash away?
Low(ish) fat ideas would be appreciated but I am easily distracted.
