I am curious to know if any chowhounds have been to Five Front in Dumbo. It is brand new restaurant, no reviews yet, I think. I went before they officially opened (invited by the owner--disclosure: I am related) as part of a test-run evening. The space is really beautiful, with a back room that has a view of the bridge. The food is what I think they call American creative. It was good -- particularly a curried mussel appetizer and a roast chicken entree. The service was a little inexperienced but that was part of what we were helping with when we ate there. I imagine they have worked out the kinks by now. It is a little out of the way for me to go to regularly, but I'd like to know if others have been and what they thought of it.
