Just got back from dinner at Frodo's in Pleasantville ... amazingly good - especially for Northern Westchester where it is pretty hard to get a really decent, let alone good, meal. The tiger shrimp and
spring vegetable "brulee" appetizer was delicious. Piping hot served in a ramikin dish was a mixture of a creamy shrimp with fresh corn, nicely seasoned and served with parmesan crusts and a fried potato fan. The mussels steamed in green apple broth and pancetta broth was amazingly refreshing and a delicious. Also recommended are the sea scallops and prawns with scallion basmati rice.
The service was very good and the overall feel of the restaurant is nice in a casual, no tablecloth but interesting delicious food sort of way. Reasonable for the quality of food as well.
Will absolutely go back ...
