Fresh meat

Last weekend I was at the Berkeley farmer's market and bought "fresh meat" -- never frozen, grass-fed beef brought straight in from Vacaville. I made the best short ribs of my life.

Since Berkeley is a bit far from Pasadena, where I am generally, does anyone know where to get fresh, grass-fed meat in the LA area? As a bonus, this meat was reasonably priced, at $5.50/lb for short ribs, but I'll settle for quality.
