freezing lasagna?

I want to make a lasagna for a friend who is recovering from surgery - thought it would be nice for her to have something in the freezer for her family she can just pop in the oven one night. My question is - do I assemble the lasagna and freeze it uncooked, then assume she'd have to add cooking time when heating it - or do I cook the whole thing, let it cool, and then wrap and freeze it, so all she is doing is reheating? I was leaning toward the latter.
