Having completed 2500 miles by car, I can briefly comment on my dining experiences as follows :
Boyer at Les Crayeres - second visit to this establishment and regrettably disappointed. We felt that we were on a conveyor belt; food not so special.
George Blanc 'brasserie'- very enjoyable.
Annecy - Tartiflette at Pere Bise was delicious; dinner at Marc Veyrat was a remarkable experience but whether Euros 775 for two to have dinner is worth it, I think not ! Imperial Hotel food was pretty tasty.
On to Eze, and to stay at the Chateau Chevre D'Or. All prices were on the high side; breakfast and lunch setting was stupendous and so was the food; their 'grill' is somewhat disappointing. Petite Maison in Nice excellent.
Le Bistrot de Paradou near Les Beaux (Provence) excellent and the Mas Touteron even better. Dinner at Les Bories in Gordes - excellent.
After a fabulous drive through Provence, dont miss dinner at Manoir De Bellrive in Les Buisson or the Brasserie En Face in Tremolat !
