I just had lunch at Foumami on Franklin St., downtown Boston. and I have to say I was impressed. I had the spicy pork loin sandwich... tasty, nice texture on the bread, good mix of ingredients. Wasn't the spiciest thing ever, but I could have remedied that with some sriracha if I had chosen to. Tab with a soda was like $8-9
It has a "soon to be a chain" feeling, but ops were quick and running smoothly.. there was a decent line of people coming in for lunch. There was table seating, but with line snaking through the center of the place and cold air coming in from the doors, it not a sit-and-relax sort of place.
Its not going to replace the Chinatown dumpling runs, but if I wanted a sandwich in Boston and I was near the Financial District, I'd definitely go again..
