I will be visiting Belgium (Brussels, Brugge) and Holland (most likely just Amsterdam and nearby), and would like to bring interesting and delicious gifts for family and friends back in NYC.
The obvious ones are chocolates -- but which maker do you prefer (probably not Godiva since it's avail. here).
Also beer -- but it might be too heavy so probably a "no" unless there is something really special and unique that I can't find in NYC.
Are cheeses worth bringing over? Any suggestions for unique, traditional condiments, sauces, herbs, etc?
