Anyone in the pioneer valley of Western Mass may want to join this yahoo group

Valley Free Radio station's Farm To Fork radio program in the Pioneer Valley MA (103.3 FM)is a bi monthly talk show using outside speakers covering the historical food supply of hunters and gatherers and progressing thru modern practices of farming and gardening, both traditional and organic. Topics will include: animal husbandry, hydroponics, aquaponics, fish farming, permaculture, methods of tilling, composting, sheet composting, soil conditioning, testing, soil microbes, benefits of the no till method, food preparation including storage, preserving, drying, and food safety, and distribution thru CSA's, food cooperatives, farmstands, farmers markets, restaurants, food banks, and retail. This list will be expanded as listeners add their valuable input. Members will be emailed twice monthly as a reminder to listen to Farm to Fork and the subject for that night. The program will begin airing on Feb 7 at 6:30 pm Tuesday and continue at that time every other week.A reminder notice will go out the day before. Calendar of events, files, databases will be added to be viewed anytime.
