Why do most food blog recipes suck?

spaceman84 | Feb 21, 201511:25 AM     123

I've come across many VERY popular food blogs with photography that makes everything look extremely appetizing, yet the majority of recipes are mediocre to awful. Many have clear errors that will ruin meals if the prep instructions are actually followed.

I know most will suggest that I suck at cooking or I'm just not making it right, but I can't be the only one who has noticed that there are numerous successful food blogs with mediocre to plain bad recipes out there. I contend that blog popularity has nothing to do with recipe quality and more to do with the photography and witty blog name than anything else.
