How's that for a odd craving? As I have pointed out before, and I believe also on my blog, there is a great daily e-newsletter published by Tom Fitzmorris. It lets me feel, ever so slightly, like I still have a connection to New Orleans.
During Lent, Fitzmorris has been counting down the 33 best seafood restaurants in New Orleans (and of course we are talking 33 better seafood restaurants than found in Chicago!). Today's selection was Brunings, a place I used to love on New Orlean's lakefront. And the great dish of Brunings, as Fitzmorris relates, is whole FRESH flounder, fried, broiled or stuffed with crabmeat (sigh!). So, now, I am jonsing for flounder. Any chance?
