After attending a performance Sat. night at P.S. 122 (unexpectedly fabulous, by the way -- called Avant Garde Arama, hosted by the singing trio White Knuckle Sandwich), we spontanoeusly went across the street to Flor's Kitchen. Skimmed the Eric Asimov review in the window and went right in.

Just had a light meal, but wondering if our experience of the food was typical or not. My husband had the caviche which was too acidy, and plantain chips which were ok but dull. I had an arepa with chesse which was also boring. BUT, my avocado salad was delightful -- fresh, delicate, delicious.

Are they inconsistent? Did we order wrong? The price is certainly right.
